The South Jersey average rose 1 cent to $2.82, while the national average rose 2 cents to $3.06, the auto club said. The Philadelphia price is up 14 cents from a week ago, and 29 cents in the last month. The year's high was $3.10 per gallon on average, set on May 28. The South Jersey price is up 30 cents from a month ago, AAA said.

Gasoline prices continued their recent climb overnight, with the average cost of a gallon of regular gasoline rising 2 cents to $3.01 in southeastern Pennsylvania, AAA Mid-Atlantic said this morning.
